We drive to and check in at a hotel in Varberg
(Distance between Gothenburg Airport and Varberg, is about 110 km, 1.5 hours.)
Day 3 to Day 7
5-day Bus trip to Norway – Trollstigen & Hurtigrutten.
After a good night sleep we drive to the South of Sweden, Helsingborg.
(Distance between Varberg and Helsingborg is about 150 km, 1.5 hours.)
With arrival we visit Sofiero Castle.
Situated five kilometers north of central Helsingborg the Sofiero Castle have a 15-hectare garden full of flowers.
It used to be the late King Gustav VI and his family´s summer place.
In addition to the Castle building there is also a gourmet restaurant.
Exhibitions and other events are usually organized in the park around the Castle.
After the visit, in the afternoon, we check in at a hotel in Helsingborg.
Here we will stay for the next 2 nights .
Today we take the ferry from Helsingborg to Copenhagen, where we will
experience the Danish culture, food and just enjoy a day in the capital of this country.
Now it is time to leave the Westcoast and drive to Småland. As Småland is famous for its glass works,
we will visit a factory where they blow glass and go on a Moose Safari.
After this visit we drive on to Kalmar where we will stay at a 4-star hotel.
(Distance between Helsingborg and Kalmar is about 300 km, 3 hours.)
After breakfast we check out from the hotel and drive to Öland.
This Island is worth at visit for its art, homemade food, lighthouse.
This is where the current King Carl Gustav XVI and his family have their summer place.
Late afternoon we drives to Oxelösund. This is a town on the east coast of Sweden, mostly known for its big port. Here we will stay in a 3-star hotel for the next 3 night. (Distance between Kalmar and Oxelösund is about 400 km, 4 hours.)
Day 12 and Day 13
We visit Stockholm – The Capital of Sweden.
We take the bus from Oxelösund to Nyköping and then the train from Nyköping to Stockholm Central.
There we will visit Djurgården, walk around att Skansen visit the ABBA and Wasa Museum.
We will also walk around in the Old Town of Stockholm.
Today we take the road back to Varberg on the west coast.
We stop on our way at Gränna.
Gränna is a village in the northern part of Jönköping municipality, located on the eastern shore of Vättern.
The city is very famous for its candy canes. Manufacturing them is a craft and it is fascinating to visit one of the many small manufacturers and view when the sticky dough turns into symmetrical striped sticks.
We also stop at Ikea, Jönköping, who is one of the Swedish well-known furniture shops in the world.
We will stay in Varberg for the next 2 nights.

Today we take a sightseeing in Varberg
Varberg is a town in central Halland and located at the West Coast approximately midway between Gothenburg in the north and Halmstad in the south.
Varberg is a town with 35 000 population. It is a very popular summer resort for swimming and surfing.
We visit the forest where the Bockstens man was found.
The Bockstens man is the remains of a man found in a wetland in Halland and, according to the researchers at Halland’s museum, is considered to have died about 1350-1370. (This find is unique because it is Europe’s only fully preserved medieval man and also the only known man that has been piles struck through the body).
Bua is one of the famous fisherman towns.
Varberg’ s cold bath house stands on piles in the sea at the beach promenade in Varberg. Here you can swim naked in separate men’s and women’s wards, both equipped with a sauna.
Since breakwaters have been built from the fortress’s northwest corner and Klöven, Getterön, the cold bath house is located within the harbor area.
Now is the time to leave Sweden.
SkönaSydafrika will drive you to Landvetter Airport, Gothenburg.
From there you fly to Cape Town.
